April 1st

April is a month that has always ment something to me it’s my Birthday month, Gma’s Birthday month, you can see the start of Spring, Easter (most years), and Spring Vacation. Now April means a little bit more you see April is Autism Awareness month and my precious little Dude Mavrick has Autism. Many of you reading this blog know Mav or have heard part of his story but in case you haven’t you can read it HERE. I am just one person, one momma trying to make a difference for her little boy while brainstorming of what or how I could make a difference the idea of blogging daily whether it be Autism information, pictures of Mav, or daily doings would somehow in someway reach one person and that person may tell another and it would make a difference. Help me help those living with Autism help me a difference please.

Tomorrow April 2nd is WORLD AUTISM DAY so be sure to check back here tomorrow or you can visit www.worldautismawarenessday.org

Today I have a giveaway and a challenge for you leave a comment in the comment section here on the blog or email me for a chance to win this mini journal/notebook and pen combo plus a special surprise from Mav (you‘ll like it believe me I'd like to keep it :)). I thought this would be good for our first giveaway since I am documenting Mav’s life here on the blog for the next month.

Leave a comment between now and April 8th when the next Giveaway will be posted there might be something in between but you’ll have to come back to see.

Thank you so very much for stopping by!

*edited @ 3pm est on 4/1 with different pictures showing the giveaway*

Hey girl! I know I have told you many times before, but I will tell you again! I think Mav is such a lucky little boy to have you as his advocate! I thank god that I met you and him. he is one special little boy, who his Aunt Shell loves just the way he is! You keep up the good work getting the word out about Autism! Everyone should be so lucky to know a little guy like Mav!!

I love you!

Mandy, I really admire what you are doing here. While I know absolutely nothing about autism, other than what I've read on your blog, I applaud you for working so hard to make others, like me, aware.

Hi Mandy,
I am also a 1 in 150 mom to a beautiful 8 year old son Alex with Autism. I also have two other sons Ryan almost 11 and Christopher almost a year. Just remember that God gave us these children because He has the Faith in us to raise His special children. And I do believe that we have a one way ticket to heaven. With consistancy, patience, and love it DOES get better. Please feel free to email me lcmarin77@yahoo.com to chat. I would love to laugh and cry about our CRAZY lives that only we truley know!!! Warmest regards, Lisa
