Keeping up with this blog hasn't beenmy best thing. Life seems to get crazy and time flies by. THe Dude is doing good working on speech which is going ok. Trying to get him working on some eating habits which aren't going good wish that were an easier task. workign on it trying to do my best and make a difference for him. He's really into looking at and reading book right now oh and his new fav thing is "Hun oooh HAnda" Cung Fu Panda. He is jumping are saying tadah tadah too cute. Love him he's awesome. SO much more to tell all but time is running out for the computer here will update again soon. Mandy

Sorry it's been awhile

It's been a long time since I updated the blog. LIfe and time seem to be passing me by like crazy when I think I have a minute to stop in a snap that minute is gone and the next adventure starts. As for the DUDE he is doing pretty good. We had his DR appointments again the Neuro gave him another diagnosis and we have more testing and possible another MRI in our future. She was very good with him got into his world which was pretty good since she made us wait. He is back on his normal med schedule cause the decrease wasn't working we saw a total change in him. He is doing pretty good this week he hates the hot weather we are having though poor guy and the sweating and diaper doesn't go well together it make the Dude unhappy. He got to take a dip in GPA and GMA's pool this week we had a visit there it was a nice afternoon of relaxing for mom and full of adventure for the DUde and the sissers. Mav is saying a bit he makes us laugh and Louis and I are constantly saying hey did you hear that? It's awesome! Enjoying our summer adventures here in Michigan we started off with a bang a trip to the Zoo oh man the Dude had a blast he got to the bear exhibit and says RRRRRRR jumping on the fence like a little bear himself it was totally cool i was full of smiles as were the peps around us. Pampa bought the kiddies slushie cups and Mav loves his he drinks from it every day too cool. Till next time Peace and spread the word!


Update: Chevy donated $1 million to Autism Speaks thank you all for taking the test drive it was awesome. 58,000 peps took it!

Monday school was good
Tuesday school was good
Wednesday no school Specialist appointments all day in Grand Rapids we now need to go see another neurologist he has a prob with his nervous system, is staying on his meds, and I was told to keep up the good work since he is doing so well and we have gotten the progress we have. SO cool to hear good things not just all bad in one day.Will post more on Dr visits hopefully this weekend in a hurry right now.Went to Gpa and Gmas to stay for a few days.
Thursday still at Gpa and Gma's
Friday will be coming home.

Not much happening here jsut waiting for that last day of school and Summer break to begin. Mav has a few Dr appointments this coming week so there will be lots to read next week. He's still not 100% healthy was home sick from school 2 times this week. He is chatting lots most inhis own jibber but that's fine. He loves watching Bambi the movie right now. He got a new favorite blue cup this past week more like a big boys cup but still a safety sipper. We are still using the monkey backpack/safety harness where ever we go and he is doing alright with it most of the time except when he gets mad at me and says "NO MINE" and pulls the strap. He's funny! He is a little on the onry side not sure why. He is still trying the potty out he sits on it a couple times a day most of the time nothing happens just a sit down and then get up pull the pants back on with a smile. Good stuff! till next time~

The dude and I went for a visit at his new school/class room yesterday. What an adventure he was so full of crap and just totally not the dude he usually is. He didn't want to sit for group, didn't want to be with me, didn't want to participate, he did want to bite me, scream, trash around. I was kinda embarassed cause he was just not acting the way I thought he would. I do think he liked the room and the Teacher I just think I picked the wrong time to take him. Not how next year will go since he will be going to school all day. I am a bit more nervous about it now after seeing how he was yesterday. Love him but man he made me want to have a meltdown yesterday. I was so ready to relax when Louis got home Hi dad it's your turn the all hard "wonderful" days. We had a moon change maybe that is what did it everyone in our house was a pleasure yesterday:(

Elliott Sadler's Autism Awareness Helmet Online Auction is Underway

Sadler's Autism Awareness Helmet Online Auction

Begins Thurs, May 1 and ends May 19EMPORIA, Va. -- For the month of April, Elliott Sadler has worn a specially-designed Autism Awareness helmet at every track. Now, that very same helmet will belong to whoever wants it most.A day after celebrating his 33rd birthday, Sadler placed the helmet up for auction on http://www.sadlerfoundation.org/ on Thursday, May 1 where bidding will remain open until May 19.
To raise funds and awareness, Sadler had the helmet designed with the colorful, jigsaw Autism puzzle pieces. During the Texas, Phoenix and Talladega races in April, the driver of the No. 19 Dodge wore the colorful concoction in competition. It was donated by Impact Racing and designed by Ryan Young of Indocil Art.
The awareness and auction are more than just the NASCAR driver being charitable - it's personal.
"Helping to create awareness for autism is an extremely important cause for me," Elliott Sadler said. "It hits really close to home because my niece, Halie, is autistic. The great Autism related charities we've worked with over the years offer many different programs and opportunities to help not only those suffering from this developmental disability, but also their families.
"It is a cause that I'll do all I can to help raise money and awareness.
"We're not just trying to raise money for the Hermie and Elliott Sadler Charitable Foundation, we're looking to educate people and raise more awareness about Autism."
Once the auction concludes on May 19th, the winner bidder will receive the autographed helmet and a Certificate of Authenticity from Elliott Sadler on Elliott Sadler Enterprises letterhead.
